As an architectural student and multidisciplinary artist, Aya creates work that challenges how we perceive reality. Her foundation in self-taught hyper-realism evolved into a fascination with the unconventional driven by the belief that even the most unnatural subjects possess an inherent beauty. To bring this vision to life, she utilizes readily available materials, mending them together to disrupt the traditional flat surface. By adding tactile dimensions to her canvases with clay and mixed media, Aya creates unsettling, immersive pieces that physically break the barrier between the artwork and the viewer's reality.
